F1B Generation
F1B’s are the first generation bred back again to the poodle. For instance, an F1B Goldendoodle is an F1 Goldendoodle x Poodle. They typically have a curly coat, and are non-shedding. They would be a 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever mix.
There are more generations of doodles such as F2 and multigenerational but F1 and F1B’s are the ones we stick to at the Doodle Ranch.
We will from time to time breed our Pure Breeds. All of our pure breeds are AKC or CKC registered and would come with papers if requested (small fee may apply)
What are the different generations of doodles?
F1 Generation
F1’s are the first generation of the doodle mix. For instance, an F1 Goldendoodle is a Golden Retriever x Poodle. Their coats are more wavy than curly and they typically are minimal shedding dogs. They are a 50/50 cross between two breeds therefore you’re able to see more characteristics from the non poodle breed as well.

Bernedoodle
Bernedoodles are a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. They could also be a cross between a Bernedoodle and a Poodle. Bernedoodles are well tempered, loving, and athletic. They make great companions, and family dogs who are comfortable relaxing on the couch all day or going on long hikes. Bernedoodles get all of the great qualities from the Poodle, and the Bernese Mountain Dog. We couldn’t recommend these dogs enough!
Goldendoodle
Goldendoodles are a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. They could also be a cross between a Goldendoodle and a Poodle. Goldendoodles are intelligent, playful, and loyal. They are great family dogs and especially with children. Goldendoodles really bring out the best from the Golden Retriever with their happy-go-lucky attitude, and their intelligence from the Poodle.
Bernese Mountain Dogs - AKC Registered
Brains have been replaced with extra love. They have the grace and subtleness of a Bulldozer. They won’t notice if they are standing on your foot and personal space (what is that). They will likely die if you don’t shower them with pats and petting. Not the most active dogs we breed but definitely the most laid back.
All of our dogs are well tempered, intelligent, and would make great additions to your family. Please research the different breeds or contact us with any questions you may have when deciding what breed is right for you.
